This role is an essential member of the International Card Services Rewards Finance team within the Rewards Center of Excellence. Our ream is responsible for all aspects of the rewards expense for the International Card Services segment. The role combines both financial planning as well as decision support analytical responsibilities. In this role, you role need critical thinking skills to analyze rewards strategies along with the communication skills to present that analysis to senior leadership. You will own the analytical models for Rewards optimization strategies that drive profitability in the fast growing international segment of American Express.


Responsibilities:
 

  • Own the Bank Repricing and Reserve model to accurately forecast this expense figure for all 26 proprietary international markets.
  • Own the model for Rewards management actions decision support for cost-benefit analysis of strategic initiatives
  • Communicate key driver of Rewards expense performance and forecast risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with ICS LFO teams both across the world and the central ICS finance team. Collaborate with ICS business teams to align on the best strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Self-starter, strong organizational skills
  • Minimum 2 to 3 year of experience in finance required.
  • Demonstrated excellent strategic thought leadership skills, as well as strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, and valuation skills (DCF, ROI, etc.)
  • Ability to create and maintain financial and economic models.
  • Highly motivated individual with desire to work on ambiguous projects and the ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.
  • Ability to build relationships with business partners, and influence decisions with sound logic and analytics.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ease with complex data sets, including advanced Excel.
  • Clear communication skills – verbal, written and through presentations. Ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree required in finance or related.
  •  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming knowledge is a preferred (SQL).
  • Any card economics knowledge is a plus.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
