Internal Audit Intern

DLA, LLC (https://dlallc.com/) is actively recruiting accounting majors, who are enthusiastic and eager to learn about internal audit! We will be accepting applications through October 11th and will begin our interview process shortly thereafter. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Our talented and seasoned Internal Audit Team Leaders will be training and developing Interns to:

  • Develop documentation of existing internal controls and internal processes
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in a variety of business areas
  • Suggest solutions to strengthen controls, improve profitability and aid management decision-making capability
  • Assist in the development of oral and written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the examination, discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective actions to improve operations

Knowledge & Skills:

What an Intern needs to succeed is a great attitude and desire to learn! Other desired attributes are:

  • BS or BA in Accounting (in progress)
  • Strong process and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP and general business and operational principles a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Independent, proactive, self-motivated
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues and make recommendations
