Investment Summer Analyst

Are you ready to build a strong foundation for your career in real estate? The Greystar Summer Internship Program offers a 10-week immersive experience where you’ll develop new skills and gain hands-on experience with the leading multifamily real estate developer, investor, owner, and operator.

As a Greystar intern, you’ll be exposed to all facets of our business, including development & construction, investment management, property management, and enterprise services. Your journey will be enriched through daily work experiences, intern events, and workshops such as:

Executive Speaker Series, Business Segment Trainings and Workshops, Mentor Relationships, Site Visits, Community Outreach, and Networking and Coffee Chat Opportunities. 

Additionally, you’ll complete and present a Final Capstone Project to your team and senior leaders. With supportive coaching and professional guidance, the Greystar Internship Program builds on your classroom knowledge, helping you transform your experience into a successful and rewarding career.

The Greystar Intern Program will run from June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025.


Job Description

The Investment Summer Analyst will support the company’s investment platform by performing financial analyses of investment opportunities, preparing appropriate documents to facilitate the underwriting and closing of real estate transactions, interfacing with brokers, equity partners, institutional clients, and the Company’s investment leadership, and tracking and reporting on the status of multifamily transactions within the assigned geographic markets Greystar’s vertically integrated platform uses our extensive local market knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new acquisition opportunities
  • Analyze income and expense projections
  • Prepare and manage capital project budgets
  • Provide financial analyses to support negotiation decisions
  • Conduct market research and prepare due diligence materials
  • Assist in the preparation of investment memorandum
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for improving operational performance
  • Perform analytical or other tasks that support the daily operation of the fund

 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong desire to learn the real estate industry
  • Quantitative background and analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong, precise written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex topics.
  • High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and speed under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in real estate, finance, business, or a related major
  • Graduating between December 202 and May 2026
