Interdisciplinary Regulatory Specialist

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Nashville District has an exciting career opportunity for an entry-level environmental/civil engineer, biologist/natural resources, or physical scientist recent college graduate to join our Regulatory Program, located in Nashville, Tennessee. The USACE Regulatory Program is committed to protecting the Nation's aquatic resources, while allowing reasonable development through fair, flexible, and balanced permit decisions.  This exciting position will primarily consist of reviewing stream and wetland restoration projects, stream and wetland mitigation banks and In-Lieu Fee programs, delineating wetlands and streams, assessing the quality and functionality of aquatic resources, reviewing permit applications for mining projects, etc. Much of your time will be spent outdoors in a field environment (~25% of the time). This is a great opportunity to begin a civilian career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Department of Defense. This will be a developmental position; upon completion of program requirements, this position may be non-competitively promoted to the GS-11 pay grade (currently $69,107 to $89,835 annually).
