Security Engineering, Senior Associate

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking an Event Designer (Security Engineering, Senior Associate) to support the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). This facility supports the mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia, and international partners. 

This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. 

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manage all aspects of event teams to perform all tasks essential to support of the NCRC test operations.
  • Primary responsibilities include: event design, execution, coordination, scheduling, resourcing, de-confliction, test development, design, and stake holder engagement under the direction and guidance of the events' designer.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies; assesses, designs, and conceptualizes test scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools and other state-of-the-art technologies related to test and evaluation requirements.
  • Designs, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Develops, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
  • Analyzes test cases and provide regular progress reports recommending enterprise and site improvements.
  • Serves as a subject matter specialist providing weapons system vulnerability testing know-how for the support of user requirements of varying from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3 through TRL 9.
  • This position supports the program and all other duties as assigned.

Travel

10% - 20% to other sites, as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading small, specialized teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex systems test events
  • High degree of organization and communications skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a STEM subject, particularly systems engineering, network engineering, or cybersecurity
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570.01M/ IAM-II certification within 6 months of assignment to position (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate)) or IAT level III (CISA, GSE, SCNA, GCIH (or Associate))
  • Expert experience leading small, specialized teams
  • Expert experience leading complex systems test events
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a cyber range environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification; a Master's degree will be considered in lieu of 2 years of professional experience; a PHD will be considered in lieu of 4 years of professional experience.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must hold a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI Eligibility clearance; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $130,000 - $186,000 per year.
