ESE Instructional Facilitator

Sarasota County Schools is now hiring ESE instructional facilitators to work at North Port High School in North Port , FL! North Port High School strives to foster an environment in which every is student is given the attention necessary to achieve individual success.

Starting Salary:

$55,000 with a Bachelor’s degree

Educational Supplements upon conferral of advanced degree or advanced course credit:

  • Bachelor’s + 30 - $2,500
  • Master’s - $5,000
  • Master’s + 45/Specialist - $7,500

Job Objective:

Serve as an instructional resource, working collaboratively with school and district personnel to plan and implement a consistent program of improving ESE student achievement using strategies that demonstrate a statistically significant effect on increasing student outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution
  • Certification in Exceptional Student Education, Guidance, Speech pathology and a minimum of one core content area, appropriate for grades represented at school site. Minimum of three (3) years successful experience as an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher, Guidance Counselor, School Psychologist, or School Social Worker, preferred.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Local Education Agency (LEA) representative at ESE initial eligibility meetings, and as directed.
  • Provide services, coaching and technical assistance to regular staff members who work with mainstreamed ESE students.
  • Provide assistance and information to parents of ESE students.
  • Support school-based family/caregiver training opportunities.
  • Possess knowledge of research and evidence-based instructional and intervention practices to support ESE students.
  • Collaborate and provide feedback to teachers to support high yield instructional strategies to support implementing and progress monitoring current individual education plans (IEP).

Starting annual salary of $55,000 with 100% employer-paid benefits package!
