Budget Estimator

Arconic is currently in search of a Budget Estimator to join our Kawneer business in Harrisonburg, VA. This position will work with major projects in the Collaborative division.

This position will support the Collaborative Order Pursuit Team by determining budget pricing for assigned projects.  The projects will be throughout North America, and frequency will be 6 +/- 2 per week.  This role will report out to the Collaborative sales team.  This position truly sets the stage for go/no-go project decisions.  This is an entry level role for the team and training is provided.

 

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • General:
    • Budget assigned pursuit opportunities
    • Maintain budgeting and reporting data
  • Record information in our systems
    • Enter in Salesforce
    • Update project pursuit information to reflect revisions
  • Document questions or concerns
  • Keep the Order Pursuit Lead informed on workload, progress, and schedule
  • Understand the Collaborative deliverable process, realizing that proper project budgeting plays a significant role in pursuit decisions
  • Use time management skills to balance workload
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives

 
The ideal candidate will:

  • Self-starter that can multi-task
  • Well organized with attentiveness to thoroughness / process
  • Quality communicator with proficient documentation skills
  • Enjoys being part of a team
  • Knows Microsoft software with a focus on Excel
  • Familiar with Bluebeam .PDF software
  • Possess knowledge of Kawneer product a plus
  • Possess an inquisitive attitude

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience, with preference for the estimating or construction industry
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales or the construction industry.
