Accounting Assistant

The Charity CFO, LLC is rapidly growing across the United States as we partner with new nonprofits each week to strengthen their financials and increase reporting accuracy. If you are someone who is committed to thinking outside of the box, solving client problems, and wants to work in a position that allows you to use your accounting experience on work that really matters, we want you to join our team.  

What you would be helping us with: 

  • Supporting our new client onboarding team and accounting service teams by handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a wide range of clients
  • Entering transactions for assigned clients using a number of software platforms, including QuickBooks Online, Dext, and Bill.com.
  • Preparing account reconciliations (i.e. bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, etc.)
  • Performing periodic self-reviews to ensure that accounting is accurate
  • Collaborating with team members across the company to assist them with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Desire to be a full-cycle Accountant
  • Energized by working with non-profit organizations
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online or another accounting system, preferred
  • Comfortable using software; willing to learn new software 
  • Excellent verbal communicator, required, and excellent written communicator, preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and not afraid of a challenge
  • Intrinsically motivated to succeed
  • Problem Solver with the ability to ask for help
