Associate Lab Technician

Overview

WuXi AppTec is a leading global pharmaceutical, and medical device open-access capability and technology platform company with global operations. We have an opening in our Sterility Department for an Associate Lab Technician.  

Position Details:

• Schedule:
  • Tuesday-Saturday or Monday to Friday 5 AM to 1:30 PM
  • Must be willing and able to train on a Mon-Fri schedule).
• Hours: Full-Time, 40 per week
• Pay: $18/hr to start with the opportunity for growth

Responsibilities

Perform Sterility Testing in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards following SOPs in a cleanroom environment, perform QA/QC tasks, and prep carts.

Qualifications

Experience / Education   

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 1 year of relevant industry experience without a degree

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required
• Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Proficient in Oral & Written communication.
• Need to be able to read, write, and understand English

Physical Requirements:

• Clarity of Vision – the ability to distinguish color
• Must be able to work in a lab setting with exposure to biohazards/chemicals
• Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
• Must be able to work in an environment with variable noise levels
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods
• Ability to lift/push/pull/move 40 lbs. routinely
• Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and reach
• Must be able to work in small, confined spaces
• Must be able to perform activities with repetitive motions
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
