Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Essential Functions of the Occupational Therapist Assistant Role:

  • Assist in evaluation of client’s daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and
  • limitations
  • Assist in planning and implementing educational, vocational, and recreational programs and activities established by registered Occupational Therapist, designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance task performances, diminish or correct pathology, and to promote and maintain health and self-sufficiency
  • Communicate with staff and other health team members, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs


Experience and Skills Required for Occupational Therapist Assistant Position:

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year Occupational Therapist Assistant accredited college or technical school required
