Editorial Intern
Our media outlet is seeking talented editorial interns to assist our team of editors. This internship is designed for aspiring editors interested in enhancing articles with engaging visuals and learning the nuances of editing according to our style guide. You will manage the College Football Dawgs brand in a way that achieves consistency.
As an editorial intern, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with our Lead National Columnists to enrich their content and gain hands-on experience in digital publishing.
Responsibilities
- Enhance articles by adding photos, videos, and embeds to enrich the reader's experience
- Learn and apply editing techniques according to the College Football Dawgs style guide
- Assist Lead National Columnists in refining their articles for clarity, style, and adherence to editorial standards
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content meets quality and deadline expectations
- Participate in editorial meetings to brainstorm ideas and contribute to content planning
Requirements
- Passion for college football and a keen interest in sports journalism
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is a plus
