Sales Development Representative

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Location: New York, NY or Philadelphia, PA

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a key role within our sales team, responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities. As an SDR, you will focus on outbound lead generation, qualifying inbound leads, and developing relationships with potential customers. Your primary goal is to schedule meetings and create sales opportunities for the account executives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

  • Proactively identify and research potential customers using various tools and methods (e.g., LinkedIn, CRM systems, industry publications).
  • Execute outbound cold calling and email campaigns to prospects.

Lead Qualification:

  • Qualify inbound leads by understanding their needs, pain points, and fit with our product/service offerings.
  • Use established criteria to assess the potential of leads and ensure they meet the ideal customer profile.

Appointment Setting:

  • Schedule meetings and product demos for account executives.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized record of interactions with prospects.

Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential customers through regular follow-ups.
  • Understand the prospect's business challenges and position the company's solutions effectively.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align on campaigns and messaging.
  • Collaborate with account executives to develop strategic approaches to target accounts.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track and report on key performance metrics, such as lead conversion rates and pipeline growth.
  • Provide feedback to improve the effectiveness of sales strategies and marketing initiatives.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach).
