Youth Sports Class Instructor

The Town of Herndon boasts a unique balance of strong sense of community and being a next generation small town and each employee is pivotal in providing exceptional services to our citizens. The Town has an immediate need for a Youth Sports Class Instructor for the Parks and Recreation department.

In this position, you will provide the following service to our community:
•  Instruct skills-based sport classes for youth primarily ages 3 - 15 for the following sports:

- Basketball

- Soccer

- Flag Football

- Volleyball

- Skateboarding

- Other combination classes

(Not required to teach all sports)

What you will need: 
• Experience in teaching instructional classes in fun and approachable ways
• Must be able to communicate clearly with children and parents 
• First Aid/CPR certificate desirable

Due to the nature of a government providing services to the public all duties of this position are required to be fulfilled at the designated worksite in the town. No remote work is available.
