1. The Role:

We're looking for a talented Website Designer to join our team and play a key role in creating beautiful, user-friendly, and high-performing websites. You'll be responsible for designing and developing websites that not only capture our brand essence but also provide an exceptional user experience (UX) for our visitors.

2. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and content creators to understand website objectives and target audience needs.
  • Translate project requirements and brand guidelines into user-centered website designs with a focus on usability and navigation.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visually represent website layouts, functionality, and user flow.
  • Utilize web design software like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD to create visually appealing and engaging website interfaces.
  • Ensure website design adheres to current web design trends and best practices for optimal user experience.
  • Work closely with web developers to ensure seamless translation of designs into functional websites.
  • Conduct basic usability testing to identify and address potential user interface (UI) issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest web design technologies and accessibility standards.

3. Skills and Tools Required:

  • Proven experience in website design with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Solid understanding of design principles like layout, typography, color theory, and user interface (UI) design.
  • Proficiency in web design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) for creating mockups and prototypes.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript principles is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines consistently.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with responsive web design (RWD) to ensure websites adapt seamlessly across various devices.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or Drupal.
  • Experience with basic search engine optimization (SEO) principles.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools to measure website performance.
