Sr Financial Analyst: US Operations

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance and/or data analytics professional to partner and help drive results with the Corporate Finance group supporting our US Operations. The Finance team is responsible for partnering with Hertz leaders on financial related aspects of the business. This role will help drive strategic decision making by providing detailed data and analytics around our fleet, customer activity and operating expenses. 

 

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and has the drive to overcome complex business challenges. We are searching for a dynamic team player who is extremely motivated and able to prioritize the highest value activities to meet deadlines. The candidate should have a strong background in business analytics, financial systems, and technical solutions. They must have the ability to communicate performance measurements via visualizations (tableau dashboard development) and statistical modeling with a high degree of accuracy. The candidate must be able to work proficiently with large amounts of data from start to finish. They must be able to query, transform, model, visualize, and analyze data from a multitude of sources and communicate their findings to a variety of stakeholders. 

 

In this fast-paced team, monthly activities include but are not limited to; actuals reporting, budgeting and forecasting, project review and audit, system support, along with ad hoc analysis and reconciliations. Actuals reporting and budgeting is reviewed with senior leadership to provide guidance on opportunities, risks, and support of key business decisions. This role provides exposure to senior management, as well as an opportunity to influence financial results and improve operational performance. 

The starting salary is $90K; commensurate with experience. 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • This position will perform a key role in providing financial business analysis, decision support and thought leadership
  • This includes developing financial forecasts and analysis, generating internal management reports, monitoring key performance indicators and driving the scaling and automation of financial processes
  • Support monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes for short term and long-term business planning
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of US Business Performance: Revenue, operating expense and EBITDA impact, understanding of variances to prior forecast, annual operating plan and prior year performance
  • Develop complex models and scenarios to forecast performance and identify issues and opportunities by analyzing financial and non-financial data
  • Anticipate future market or industry trends to drive business performance decisions
  • Condense and synthesize vast financial data into a meaningful and actionable message through dashboards and identify opportunities for management to improve performance and achieve financial goals
  • Understand ROI/NPV as it pertains to business investments / business cases
  • Ad-hoc analysis support for senior management

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, data analytics, mathematics, statistics or accounting
  • MBA or Master of Science in Data Analytics preferred
  • 3+ years of FP&A, Finance or Data Science experience in analytical/reporting role preferred
  • Expert proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
  • Flexible and adaptable; ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Results driven, ability to make decisions and help overcome business challenges
  • Ability to build and lead a diverse, high-performing, results-oriented, and highly-engaged team
