What will you need?

Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field with a NC Child Care Administrator Credential, Level III. Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.. 

Three years of experience administering/directing a NC licensed 5-star child care facility/program. Early Head Start/Head Start/NC Pre-K experience preferred.

Position Description:
 

The Site Supervisor implements program policies and procedures for the overall operation of an entire children’s center and provides a high quality program by following NC Pre-K guidelines, Head Start Performance Standards and the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.
 

The Site Supervisor oversees and supervises the management functions to ensure quality, safety, and all applicable local/state/federal program compliance. 


 

What You’ll Do:
 

Ensure the Early Head Start, Head Start, and NC Pre-K and related services DSS Subsidy and CACFP Food Program, etc. are adequately managed, supervised, and maintained. 

Support the implementation of curriculum to fidelity by working with staff in the classroom setting.

Positively engage families in understanding program requirements. Advocate for the needs of your children, staff, families, and site. 

Participate in interviewing applicants for site positions as assigned. Support and monitor provision of orientation and onboarding for new hires. 

Serve as a member of the site team that responds to and supports classroom behavioral needs

Participate in training and support the effective implementation of Reflective Supervision, the Creative Curriculum, CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention strategies, Making the Most of Classroom Interactions (MMCI), and CLASS as well as data management with ChildPlus. 

Help maintain a safe environment by recognizing and responding to safety hazards in the workplace. 
 

The Site Supervisor Position is a non exempt, full time 12 month position from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily.
