Information Technology Intern

Position Description

  • The IT Intern position provides office-wide technical assistance for project and day-to-day duties as part of the Information Technology department
  • Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Provide excellent and professional customer service to staff in response to requests submitted to IT Helpdesk
    • Basic troubleshooting of PC hardware and software
    • Onboard and offboard user accounts
    • Update user accounts when staff change roles and office locations
    • Assist with initial configuration and deployment of PCs, VOIP phones, and printers
    • Maintain the inventory of computer hardware, peripherals, and software licensing
    • Assist in building and maintaining Windows servers
  • Other tasks and duties as requested by IT staff

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or currently enrolled in  Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field  
  • Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange
  • Analytical and technical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong service orientation and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Self-motivated, independent learner
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, as travel across Middlesex County may be required
  • Ability to lift up and push 40 lbs.

Covid-19

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office requires employees to have received COVID-19 vaccination or to have been approved for exemption as a condition of employment. Finalists will be given details about how to demonstrate receipt of vaccination or request an exemption due to a sincerely held religious belief or if the vaccine is medically contraindicated.
