Youth/Worship Pastor
Youth/Worship Pastor – City Church Gastonia, North Carolina
The Youth/Worship Pastor oversees and leads youth ministry (Middle School through High School) to ensure consistent, Christ-centered, biblical ministry that guides students in building a healthy, growing and lasting faith in Jesus Christ.
He/she is responsible for providing oversight for student worship. Lead all aspects of planning and performance of the worship service(s).
a. Develop and schedule teams of instrumentalists and vocalists.
b. Organize and lead practices.
c. Will assume pastoral and discipleship care of the worship and A/V teams.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience in worship leading and/or instrumentalist in worship band.
- Able to read music or chord charts.
- Able to play guitar or keyboard.
- Some computer skills i.e. Google Apps, Planning Center, Garage Band, ProPresenter5.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
Time Required: 10-12 hours per week
Training and development:
Will be asked to attend and participate in a leadership training seminar.
Will help train younger student worship leaders.
