CEEF Community Outreach Coordinator VISTA Teleservice

Consumer Energy Education Foundation (CEEF) brings the energy industry, community organizations, and academic institutions to explore the amazing world of STEM for at-risk youth students in the Greater Houston area. The AmeriCorps member serving in this VISTA position will aid CEEFs efforts to move at-risk youth out of poverty by building long-term sustainability and capacity building projects that help the CEEF become more self-sufficient and better equipped to serve the community. The Community Outreach Coordinator VISTA member will plan, direct, and coordinate activities designed to raise awareness of the Consumer Energy Education Foundation and maximize its impact in the community. TELESERVICE MUST OCCUR WITHIN COMMUNITING DISTANCE OF SITE.

The CEEF Community Outreach Coordinator VISTA will create comprehensive strategic plans for fundraising, marketing, and communication that outline goals for long term success. This includes presenting findings to appropriate CEEF staff for feedback. The VISTA member will identify, develop, and build strong partnerships with organizations, schools and local community groups to expand and increase CEEF’s impact. Additionally, the VISTA member will prepare marketing materials, including promotional and online, for each community engagement opportunity or event. The member will also serve to refine current volunteer practices and create written strategies intended to transfer knowledge to appropriate staff.
