US Analyst Program

The U.S. Analyst position will be available for a maximum of 2 years. The goal of the U.S. Analyst program is to develop the ideal candidate for consideration to a potential full-time position at the end of the two years, if available.

 

Department Overview

The Financial Steering and ALM division is a team within the Finance Department that encompasses the following product lines within Credit Agricole CIB Americas: Profitability & Internal Pricing (PIP), Asset and Liability Management (ALM), and Financial Analysis (FA)

The mission statement of the Financial Steering and ALM division is to provide comprehensive analysis of Credit Agricole CIB’s business activities. The scope of the analysis focuses on the bank’s solvability, liquidity, balance sheet, profitability, and regulatory status. Financial Steering and ALM also measures financial risks faced by the bank in order to identify the appropriate hedging solutions necessary. 

 

Position Overview

  • Member of the FA team covering the financial results production for Americas’ activities.
  • Produce financial analysis for the local management using Power BI and other data solutions
  • Ensure coordination with different contributing product controllers and business lines teams (capital markets, financing…)
  • Provide support for new features, enhancements, and maintenance (including documentation,) of FA tools kits. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Produce comprehensive analysis of Credit Agricole CIB business activities through different dimensions such as capital, liquidity, revenues, expenses, and profitability
  • Coordinate with the various management reporting teams, Financial Steering and ALM team members, and underlying business lines to produce financial analysis and business analytics 
  • Assist the different teams within Financial Steering and ALM in order to maintain, enhance, and generate specific data sets and analytics
  • Liaise with the Head Office correspondents
  • Maintain, enhance, and document the operational processes and toolkits produced by the Financial Steering and ALM team

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Participate in ad-hoc projects requested by local management or by Head Office 
  • Prepare reporting presentations as requested by management 
  • Strictly follow internal risk control policies and procedures and data security 
  • Complete on time all mandated compliance training and assignment to meet external and internal regulatory requirements

 

Key Internal Contacts

  • Direct reporting line to Local Head of Financial Analysis, Americas
  • Works closely with Financial Steering and ALM Team in the Americas 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Recent college graduate with 0-1 years of professional experience
  • You will not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future

 

Preferred Qualifications

Character Qualities

  • Strong work ethic 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills- textual analysis (would be a plus)

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong business analytics and data visualization skills
  • Data aggregation, data mining (SQL & Python), forecasting, and optimization skills 
  • Power BI (Would be a plus)

 

Competency Knowledge:

  • Proven organization and planning proficiency
  • Previous exposure to either of Financial Analysis, Macro Economics, Fixed Income, Risk Management or Banking
  • Working knowledge of French is a plus
