Accounting/Finance Intern (Long-Term)
Long-term Internship/Hybrid work schedule
Hours Per Week: ~35 hours/week. Hours may vary depending on the candidate’s schedule and Department needs.
Approximate Duration: ASAP - Early/Mid 2024
Basic Function of the Position:
This position will assist the accounting and finance team in many different areas. These areas include but are not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, contract processing, collections and working with internal databases relevant to the major functions of the organization.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inputting receivables for CTA and CES into Impexium/Expocad.
- Cash application for CTA and CES into Impexium/Expocad.
- Process exhibit space applications, upgrades, downgrades, moves, cancellations etc. in Expocad.
- Draw and update floor plans via CAD tool.
- Assist with CTA and CES contract entry.
- Inputting payables for CTA and CES into Concur.
- Perform other duties as required by business needs.
Work Experience:
- Work and/or internship experience in an office environment preferred.
- Experience in meetings/conventions/special events preferred.
Education and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting preferred.
- MS Office and internet experience required.
- Database and/or HTML experience a plus.
Additional Information:
- This is a Paid Internship.
- Some overtime and travel to CES 2024 (Las Vegas) may be required.
- Individual supports several staff and must have the ability to prioritize projects.
- This is a non-exempt position .

Flexible Work Arrangements
Regular work hours are 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, including up to an hour lunch break. CTA currently follows a hybrid schedule with 2 days spent in the office and 3 days working remotely. However, due to busy student schedules, additional flexibility available with approval from your direct supervisor.
Casual Dress Attire
While in the office CTA follows a business casual dress schedule. However, should you attend any event as a representative of CTA, internal or external, business attire is required.
CTA’s Check It Out Program
This unique program allows interns to try the most up-to-date technology without having to purchase it. Check It Out gives you the opportunity to borrow new technology, such as Google Glasses, for two weeks at a time. Simply access the system on the intranet, sign up and enjoy!
Parking
Parking is available in the garage directly under our building and is provided FREE of charge for 2023.
On-Site Exercise Facility
Access to our on-site exercise facility is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day, free of charge.
Professional Development
CTA Interns will have the opportunity to participate in Lunch and Learns throughout their internship. These will be professional training and development presentations led by various CTA staff members.

Travel to Las Vegas
Many interns have the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas for a week in January to work the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest consumer tech tradeshow.
