Help Desk Analyst

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory comprises the U.S. Department of Energy locations and personnel responsible for developing advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation’s naval nuclear reactors, and training the Sailors who operate those reactors in the U.S. Navy’s submarines and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory includes the Bettis and Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories, the Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and the Naval Reactors Facility which have proudly supported the nation since 1946. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory has nearly 8,000 employees working at primary locations in Pennsylvania, New York, South Carolina, and Idaho. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory also has an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations around the globe. We are dedicated solely to the support of the United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Help Desk Analyst to join a dedicated team working in a dynamic and diverse environment supporting not only the Laboratory but the Fleet as well.  The Help Desk Analyst position will work with a team of individuals who interface directly with the fleet to support various shipboard applications, networks, and data collection functions.  You will help coordinate, track, and distribute help desk requests, participate in Naval Messaging evolutions, and help to generate various quarterly reports as well as offload data from various systems.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Previous help desk experience.
  • Previous Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program or other military experience.
  • Technical writing capability.
  • Help desk software administration experience.

Pay Range

$57,000 - $85,600 annually

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
