THE SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Our Summer Internship Program is an 8-week, paid internship designed to provide you with an exciting, supportive and fun experience which mirrors life as an Analyst at BlackRock. You’ll have real-world responsibilities during the summer, in addition to participating in professional development, networking and social events.

 

The Summer Internship Program takes place in June – August 2024 and acts as a feeder to the Full-Time Analyst Program for the following year.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates should be in their penultimate year of studies and graduating from an undergraduate or a master’s degree program in 2025. We welcome applications from candidates studying any degree subject.

 

Please note local language fluency is required to work at our Continental Europe & Middle East locations. When applying, you’ll have to answer one virtual cover letter question in the local language. However, only English is required for Budapest or for a position within Equity Private Markets in Zurich.

Sales & Relationship Management

Middle East client business within BlackRock in EMEA, is responsible for the strategy and distribution of the breadth and depth of BlackRock’s platform and products. Our clients are divided across three key pillars:

  • Institutional 
  • Wealth 
  • Family Office

 

Who are we looking for? 

  • The intern, based in Riyadh, will be working closely with the BlackRock Saudi Arabia’s leadership to support the existing clients in Saudi Arabia. The intern will support the local Relationship Management in providing best-in-class relationship management services to the Saudi Client Base. The role is focused on delivering the breadth of BlackRock services to our clients.


What will you do as an analyst?

Sales activity & defense strategy

  • Account planning and pipeline management
  • Assist the team in producing client intelligence and updates, and aiding the team’s response to ad hoc queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Share insights on industry, regulatory and client trends
  • Prospect mapping, pitch and follow up 
  • At-risk mitigation efforts
  • Provide pre-sales support and competitive analysis 

Opportunity Development

  • Follow up on investment-related requests with the clients
  • Support delivery of the investment proposition with relevant investment strategy teams
  • Support RFP preparation 
  • Provide support on fee negotiation

Events and meetings

  • Support client communication and events / campaigns / sales strategy activities
  • Assist in training opportunities creation on relevant topics 
  • Arrange senior client engagement and help ensure appropriate BlackRock representation 
  • Prepare and review client briefings for senior stakeholders at the firm

What capabilities are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, previous experience in Financial Services is a plus
  • Interest in financial markets and eagerness to learn and broaden understanding
  • Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Fluency in Arabic is advantageous 
  • Advanced Windows-based software skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Must be comfortable interacting with clients and stakeholders across the firm
  • Passion for excellence, significant initiative and attention to detail
  • Strongly outcome oriented and flexible to stay ahead of client needs
  • High attention to detail 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
