Video Production Asst.
As the Pro Sports Outlook (PSO) Video Production Asst., you’ll edit and enhance the production of PSO's original video content by adding in exciting NFL/NBA/MLB highlight clips along with compelling graphics to bring the pre-recorded video/audio to life.
The ideal candidate is an avid sports fan and aspiring video director/producer who is passionate about creating high-quality video content and knows how to make optimal videos for YouTube (16x9 format). Here are some examples of what this would entail with opportunities to improve (most videos will be 10-15 min long).
Responsibilities:
- Edit PSO’s talk shows & enhance the video content with interesting graphics and videos relating to the subject being discussed
- Be able to produce the video with one video/graphic taking up most of the screen while simultaneously maintaining the live recording of commentary in the bottom right corner like this video does
- Stay up to date with the latest technology, platforms, and best practice
- Brainstorm new ideas and content to include in videos
- Use constructive feedback to improve
- Must have the ability to devote on average 5-7 hours a week to the role
- Flexible work schedule, perfect for a student. Work remote from anywhere you have a connection
Basic Qualifications:
- Organization, efficiency, attention to detail, and planning skills are required
- Strong video & image editing skills, ambitious, and driven for success
- Showcases quality verbal/written communication skills with timely follow-up
- Proven experience working in digital video editing or related work in a professional environment
- Credible knowledge about teams and active players in the NFL, NBA and MLB
- Demonstrates solid knowledge of social media content that appeals to sports fans
- Can thrive in an environment that requires quick turnaround results
- Comfortable working alone without supervision
- YouTube savant
- Good understanding of common computer & mobile applications (Email, Google Apps, Video editing apps)
- This is an unpaid internship, although we are happy to work with your school to provide you with internship credit, and there will be an opportunity for a future paid role in a growing start-up if it goes well
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the sports YouTube universe/community
- Familiarity with YouTube metrics and other social media metrics
- Proven experience creating exciting sports highlight videos
- Proven experience creating appealing sports-related images
Proficiency with:
- Adobe Premiere
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom
- Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- G Suite Applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Hangouts, Drive, and Gmail)
