Data Governance Analyst Intern

Quartz is seeking an intern to join our Enterprise Data Governance team (liaison between Business and IT) from June to August 2024.  This paid internship will offer valuable experience and growth opportunities to prepare you for the next steps in your career. We are seeking someone who loves data, is analytical, enjoys problem solving, has good people skills, and is creative!

Responsibilities

You will participate and learn important skills in real-world situations that can be applied to your career beyond the classroom to include, but not be limited to:

  • Industry Knowledge: products, regulations, competitors, recent news
  • Professional Skills: communication, time management, workplace etiquette
  • Exploration of data governance practices at Quartz
  • Understand how data literacy and trusted data support increased data use
  • Learn how to use Collibra Data Catalog
  • Learn about change management techniques

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in Data Governance as a possible career path
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week from June to August 2024
  • Graduating between December 2024 and June 2025
  • Preferred Majors: Business, Management, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology Management, Information and Decision Sciences, Management Information Systems, etc.

Applicants have the option to work full-time remotely, hybrid, or full-time from one of our offices in Madison, WI or Onalaska, WI. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
