Intern - Marketing and Design (Summer 2023)

Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of Architectural Aluminum Products and Systems for the Building and Construction industry. Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit. 

We’re currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as an Marketing / Design Intern. The Intern position is Full-Time with a minimum 12-week assignment for Summer 2023. The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary as well monthly housing stipend. This position will be based at our 50 Industrial Blvd. Eastman, GA location.

Under the direction of the Human Resources and Marketing Managers, the intern will lead renovation projects in several interior spaces incorporating aluminum composite material, which is the product manufactured at the Eastman site. This position will also be involved in all aspects of the marketing process, from samples, brochures, social media and website.
The application period closes on April 10, 2023, and selections will be completed by April 21, 2023. This will allow time to set up the summer internship dates with selected candidates based on their schedules.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Gaining an understanding of Arconic’s Corporate Policies and Procedures, including EHS programs
  • Gaining an understanding of the products manufactured at the AAP-Eastman facility, including application and installation criteria
  • Provide recommendations on interior space renovations to maximize space and efficiency, and visual enhancements to several front office areas, including the lobby, a conference room, a breakroom and employee entrance hallway
  • Investigate, design and incorporate use of AAP-Eastman products into the interior spaces
  • Investigate and design other interior applications of the AAP-Eastman products
  • Work closely with Commercial and Marketing team, Application Engineer, Human Resources and other departments to plan work projects
  • Assist marketing department with other projects

Minimum Qualifications:
·      Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Industrial Design, Interior Design or Architecture - with an expected graduation date of August 2023, December 2023, or April/May/June 2024
·      Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
·      Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
·      GPA of 3.0 or above
·      Involvement in an extracurricular activity
·      Prior work experience or internship in an industrial environment or similar
