What You Will Do:

Performs cardiovascular ultrasound following established procedures; responsible for reviewing patient record for test indications and obtaining clinical information pertinent to the test; takes initiative to maintain other job related responsibilities related to education and care of the workplace; attention to details; ability to respond appropriately under stress; maintain professional demeanor with patients, physicians and employees.

What You Will Bring:

Education
Graduate of two (2) year Allied Health Training Program (including but not limited Registered Nursing or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Experience
Two (2) years training experience in Vascular Ultrasound.

Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
Requires registry as both a Cardiac and Vascular sonographer. Candidate may currently possess one of these credentials, but must obtain the second within one year of employment with VH. 1) Cardiac registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) (Adult); or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). 2) Vascular registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT); or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS).

Qualifications
Must be available for participation in call rotation of call back testing. Must have the physical, mental and technical skills necessary to perform diagnostic testing of all ages, neonatal through adult as required. Possesses communication skills necessary to relate to physicians, peers and patients on a professional and technical level.
