Creative Services Intern - Hybrid Remote in Rockville, MD

** Candidates MUST live within commuting distance of Rockville, MD!

Description

What will you be engaged in day-to-day?
  • Assisting the graphic design team in layout, design, illustration, photography, videography, and proofing of creative projects.
  • Assisting with digital asset management. 
  • Working on creative projects, from editing graphics to troubleshooting bugs
  • Reviewing project requirements and asking clarifying questions.
  • Taking the initiative to solve problems. 
  • Learning new skills, ideas, and software.
  • Participating in team meetings.
  • Checking in with your supervisors to make sure you’re benefitting from your experience.
  • Communicating status updates to team members.
  • Creating documentation for your work. 
  • Developing a professional development plan to focus your career.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What qualifications will help you succeed?
  • Pursuing a B.S./B.A. or M.S./M.A. in graphic design or related field of study. 
  • Comfortable working in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and AfterEffects.
  • Passion for technology and cutting-edge industry trends.
  • Multimedia or video editing skills a plus.
  • Being a self-starter.
  • Knowing when to ask for help.
  • Ability to prioritize numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Documents.
