Tier 2 IT Technician

We are seeking a Tier 2 technician to join our team supporting the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration (NOAA) in Silver Spring, MD. This position will support activities within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Services Delivery Division (SDD). The position will provide tier 2 on-site support for NOAA's CorpSrv users.

Duties include:
  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
  • Responds to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Location: Office and Remote depending on client needs

Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.

Preferred degree, education, experience requirements:
AA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in information technology or a related field
