Financial Planning and Analysis (P&C) Analyst

General Description:

The Financial Planning Analysis (P&C) Analyst will support the team's Manager in the financial modeling and analysis of operational and financial reports for the execution of the company's strategic plans.
 

Main Accountabilities: 

  • Analyzes operational and financial information to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Support the budgeted, forecasting, and business planning process
  • Responsible for financial modeling tasks in the department's main planning tool, putting to use the analytical skills to ensure a continuous improvement of the planning process
  • Responsible for monthly data maintenance tasks in the department's main databases, putting to use the big data management skills to ensure an efficient data flow process
  • Cooperates with multiple areas of the company to centralize relevant business information for operational and financial modeling purposes
  • Prepares presentations to the Executive Team and Senior Management
  • Additional duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, MIS or related field
  • 1 year of work experience in a related field 
  • Proficient knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and Big Data management tools
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form 
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
 

Qualifications

Education

Preferred
Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.
Bachelors or better in Economics or related field.
Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.
Bachelors or better in Management Information Systems or related field.


Experience

Preferred
1 year: Experience in a related field
