Client Proposal Specialist Intern

EXL Health has a Solutions Specialist Internship available. This is a remote role within the US.

Pre-sale activities that you will support include Population Health Analytics, Utilization and Care Management, Payment Integrity, and Risk Adjustment. You will have the opportunity to work on strategizing with the product and development organizations in meeting current and emerging client/prospect/market needs.
 
As a Solutions Specialist Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Sr. Manager in ensuring client and prospect solution needs are optimally met. Your responsibilities will include supporting development of industry leading solutions, including Solution Planning and Deal Shaping for Qualified Deals, partnering with the bid team to ensure a cohesive story and solution are crafted, determining and ensuring profitability of proposed solution via pricing activities, working closely with Sales and Account Management in aligning final solution architecture and pricing. In addition, will support in advancing the global solution and bid team model.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with client solution development that bring the best of EXL capabilities together to solve client business problems.
  • Support the Solution Planning and Deal Shaping for Qualified Deals and conduct feasibility analysis for the proposed solution.
  • Partner with the bid team to ensure a cohesive story and solution are crafted as part of the bid response, allowing EXL to differentiate in the marketplace.
  • Determine and ensure profitability of proposed solution via pricing activities.
  • Work closely with Sales and Account Management in aligning final client solution and pricing.
  • Support and advance global solution and bid team model.
  • Support revenue and operating income goals.
  • Develop a standard format for solution documentation and pricing approaches.
  • Develop packaged solutions for existing pitched capabilities by working closely with general manager organizations.
  • Inform product strategy based on contemporary subject matter and industry expertise to ensure program and product innovation, support thought leadership, and interface with clients and prospects as required.
  • Drive centralization, standardization, and adoption of best practices for the Bid-Office/RFI/P responses and solutions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to drive innovation and new ways of doing business.

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing
  • 0-2 years of related industry experience within healthcare analytics, clinical and payment services environments; preferably working across both provider and payer stakeholders/environments.
  • 2 plus years of experience working in a payer, provider, or service vendor preferred environment

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of clinical programs; payment services products and/or operations.
  • Knowledgeable of healthcare delivery and data operations across stakeholders including provider organizations, integrated delivery networks, health plans, and PBMs.
  • Proven experience in working in team environments requiring strong collaboration.
  • Prefer experience in due diligence, solution identification, feasibility assessment, client visits.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
