Camp Counselor

Counselor staff lead young people in a residential setting, leading a group of campers through a scheduled program day of recreational activities, games, learning activities, and living in community. The role of a counselor is equal parts teacher, coach, guidance counselor, and mentor. Your role as a leader for campers (and even your peers) will inspire wonder and learning about many different aspects of life and the world around us.

We can teach you almost everything you need to be a great staff member. If you bring: an attitude of service, a heart for all people as children of God, and a desire to bring joy to others- we will train you on the rest!

Bring your passions to camp and share them with the campers. A wide array of activities are represented in the camp program - music, crafts, team sports, outdoor sports (climbing, biking, paddling), nature education, and more! Your leadership will make the difference in the life of a young person this summer.

We are a Christian organization supported by the regional United Methodist Church. However, we have no membership requirements in the UMC, as between 50-60% of our summer camp attendees will not be affiliated with the denomination. Our function is to be a space where people are able to grow by engaging in discipleship practices. Anyone willing to support this mission is encouraged to apply, regardless of where they are in their personal relationship with faith.
