Paramedic
Our Paramedic is responsible for all aspects of emergency and routine care within the scope of his/her certification and under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse.
Education:
- Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
- One (1) year related experience in a medical environment preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have current CPR Certification, and be certified as a Paramedic in the state within which services are provided.
- Providing emergency and routine treatment and evaluations as directed by Nursing and Medical Staff.
- Adhering to all Facility policies and procedures and Board of Nursing rules and regulation.
- Participating in data collection, medication audits, and other performance improvement activities related to medication administration.
- Providing other direct patient care activities within the scope of the Paramedic certification.
- Reporting any adverse patient events reactions immediately to a supervisor.
- Performing intake evaluations on patients as directed.
- Ensuring the confidentiality and rights of patients, the confidentiality of the health systems and department documents, and adhering to HIPPA Regulations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
- Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
- Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
- Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
- Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
- Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
