Paramedic

Our Paramedic is responsible for all aspects of emergency and routine care within the scope of his/her certification and under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse.

Education:
  • Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
  • One (1) year related experience in a medical environment preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Must have current CPR Certification, and be certified as a Paramedic in the state within which services are provided.

  1. Providing emergency and routine treatment and evaluations as directed by Nursing and Medical Staff.
  2. Adhering to all Facility policies and procedures and Board of Nursing rules and regulation.
  3. Participating in data collection, medication audits, and other performance improvement activities related to medication administration.
  4. Providing other direct patient care activities within the scope of the Paramedic certification.
  5. Reporting any adverse patient events reactions immediately to a supervisor.
  6. Performing intake evaluations on patients as directed.
  7. Ensuring the confidentiality and rights of patients, the confidentiality of the health systems and department documents, and adhering to HIPPA Regulations.
  8. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  9. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
  10. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
  11. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
  12. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
  13. Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
