Procurement Category Intern

The Procurement Category Intern will support the strategic sourcing activities related to Novocure’s IT contract management related to renewals and amendments. Responsibilities include to support the business requests for vendor engagement while using best practices for communication and analytics skills. 
 
This Procurement internship is a temporary, remote, non-exempt paid position, reporting to the Sr. Category Manager, Indirect Procurement.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and execute multiple contract renewals and amendments for various IT categories including software, hardware, & professional services 
  • Ensure adherence to the procurement process and policy for contract management by educating the stakeholders as needed
  • Generate reports and synthesize data as required based on the global IT sourcing strategy for Novocure
 
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Recommended GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Senior Bachelor’s or Final year MBA candidates
  • Pursuing Business Administration degree in IT management or related field
  • Strong organizational and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal communications skills
  • Strong written skills
  • Ability to work independently to meet goals and deadlines
  • Must be able to commit to 30-40 hours a week
 
OTHER:
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Participate in the Intern Program with other interns; bi weekly lunch & learns, coffee chats, & final presentations
  • Opportunity to travel to the Portsmouth, NH office mid-summer for a two day on site cultural emersion
