2023 Internship - Technical Support

We are seeking an intern to help us support the information technology needs of the nation's leading university affiliated research center. You will be working with engineers, scientists and business professionals that are addressing critical challenges of our nation. We have ranked as one of Computerworld 's Top Places to Work in IT for the last five years and are wanting to add bright, dedicated hardworking interns to our team
 
As a member of our team...
  • Your primary responsibility will be to provide onsite and remote support services to Lab customers with IT issues to include delivery and system setup, computer imaging, computer and peripheral installation and repair, software installs and iOS setups/troubleshooting.
  • You will resolve IT problems submitted via phone, email, chat and the ticketing system.
  • You will perform system quality assurance and testing.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
  • Are pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or other IT-related field.
  • Have a passion for IT and helping others solve challenging computer issues.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Are familiar with troubleshooting IT software and hardware.
  • Are familiar with Windows OS and Microsoft Office products.
  • Possess a positive attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Are highly motivated and have strong customer service skills.
  • Have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.   • Are able to obtain a Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you… 
  • Have experience troubleshooting Windows and Mac computer hardware and software.
  • Are familiar with Linux OS, printer troubleshooting and scripting.
  • Have IT certifications (e.g., A+, Sec+, Network+)
