Rotational Development Engineer/Scientist

What You Will Achieve


Pfizer’s Global Supply Rotational Development Program is a two-year entry-level program designed to provide recent graduates accelerated training through real world, hands-on experience associated with roles and projects needed to support the business while promoting personal and professional growth for participants. These full-time roles cross over all facets of our business including operations, engineering, quality, supply chain and logistics.



How You Will Achieve It


  • Gain experience in multiple disciplines that may include Technical Services, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operational Excellence, Validation, Maintenance, and others
  • Rotate through three challenging, demanding and diverse assignments within each area, targeted to provide career growth and experience
  • Partner with site colleagues in troubleshooting and validating equipment and manufacturing processes, identifying and implementing process/product improvement alternatives, and writing and/or verifying specifications for raw materials and manufacturing supplies
  • Be assigned to high level, site strategic projects that drive value to the business and our patients
  • Perform challenging, demanding and diverse assignments respective to the role and assigned area(s), delivering on key goals and objectives for the site while contributing to the overall success of the company
  • Develop and enhance your communication skills as you will be responsible for participating in meetings, and providing presentations to other Pfizer personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Understand scientific principles, operational aspects of production equipment, automation control systems, processing requirements and any related procedural requirements.
  • Obtain training focused to support your professional growth and development
  • Provide input and revise Standard Operating Procedures, batch records, forms or other {Current} Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP} related documents to support continuous improvement efforts, investigation corrective actions etc.
  • Have opportunity to become certified in Lean/Six Sigma and obtain your Yellow Belt
  • Capable of detecting technical problems and assisting the appropriate colleagues for resolution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required



Qualifications




Must-Have


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering) or Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology) with 0+ years of experience OR an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience OR a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong academic performance (minimum 3.2 GPA preferred)
  • Previous work, internship or co-op experience preferred
  • Strong team skills with demonstrated leadership ability
  • Passion for learning and pursuing a career in the health care industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative
