Coaching Internships - Summer Camp

Camp Skylemar, is in search of college students or recent graduates who want to teach, coach and mentor kids this summer. Our mission is to make a positive impact in the world, one child at a time. Working at Skylemar is the experience of a lifetime. You’ll create lifelong friendships and connections. At Skylemar, you'll be mentored and develop dynamic skills within our collaborative community.

Activities include:

 

·      Sports: lacrosse, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, hockey, archery, football, biking, soccer & volleyball.

·      Arts, Music & Sciences: photography, theatre arts, culinary arts, science, woodshop, art, video production, crafts, piano, graphic design & guitar.

·      Water Sports: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, water-skiing, wake-boarding, wake-surfing, water-polo & fishing.

·      Outdoor Adventure: ropes course, climbing, hiking, camping & outdoor skills.

Camp Skylemar is a well-established (since 1948) recreational summer camp, located in the Lakes Region of southern Maine. The state of Maine, is more than a destination – it’s an experience that will take your breath away. In summer, there’s no better place to be than in Maine. From the beaches to the mountains, there’s so much to explore, and enjoy during your free time.

Camp Skylemar has provided outstanding instruction, within a warm, nurturing, friendly and family atmosphere, for over 70 years. If kids are fun to you, you will find that being a counselor at Skylemar is not only a great way to spend the summer, but perhaps the best job you’ll ever have. Compensation packages start at $3,000.00. We provide free housing, meals, WIFI, staff clothing and a laundry service. We also provide full round-trip travel expenses for every staff member. Camp season runs from June 11 to August 6. Ability to take a college class online while you’re here. We also provide free time to workout.

Internship credit is available. Most educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. Check with your institution to be sure this opportunity meets any requirements.
