Graduate Level Quality Improvement Internship

Responsibilities
Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is seeking a Graduate Level Quality Intern to support the Quality team and engage directly with the physician executives. The Quality Intern will also collaborate with the delivery system operations to support the MAPMG department, including the administrative task that leads toward continuous improvement. The intern deliverables include but are not limited to workflow development; data review and validation; presentation development; and leveraging of MAPMG proprietary tools to achieve results the department has been conducting for the past 10 years.

The internship is designed to provide experiences that traverse the areas of consulting, analytics, project management, strategy, and communications. Ideal interns are self-starters, experienced in analyzing data, savvy in creating engaging and communicative reports, great team players, detail-oriented, and are interested in improving health care delivery.

Current graduate-level students in Business Administration, Management, Analytics, and Biology programs are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be able to work virtually and in person, as MAPMG guidelines permit.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a college student work towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, health administration, public health or relevant field; Current graduate-level students in MBA, MHA, MPH, or similar programs are encouraged to apply.
  • Ideal interns are self-starters, energized by a fast-paced work environment, exercise exceptional judgment, enjoy working on teams, have excellent attention to detail, and are interested in improving health care delivery. 
  • Must be able to work during a minimum of 11 weeks for the duration of the internship.
