Certified Nursing Assistant 1

We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to work with our Long Term Care and Rehab Facility in Leesburg, VA! We are offering a $1,000.00 Sign On bonus for the right candidate!


Typical Responsibilities Include: As a Certified Nursing Assistant 1, you will assist in the maintenance of the unit to provide for a pleasant, efficient and safe environment. To help achieve our mission, you will assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) and hygiene to keep them at their highest functioning level and minimizing further deterioration. Demonstrating competency in nursing care skills in order to provide appropriate and safe care is required. Your ability to follow resident rights guidelines, including confidentiality at all times, to ensure that residents are being treated with dignity and respect as adults within the nursing home environment is of vital importance.

  • Assisting patients with ADL’s
  • Building trust with patients
  • Assisting patients ambulate and with general hygiene
  • Checking vitals
  • Assisting RNs with additional clinical tasks


Shift: Monday - Friday and every other weekend

What You Need:

Education: High School Diploma AND Virginia approved C.N.A. training program. Facility based CNA training.
Certification: CPR or HeartSaver certification through the American Heart Association
Licensure: VA License as a Certified Nursing Aide
Skills: Excellent communication skills and customer service skills and proficient in English.


A Little More:
  • Demonstrates proper procedures for fire safety (RACE, PASS and environmental requirements) as evidenced by a score of 100 percent when tested during annual in-service.
  • Practices infection control, according to the facility policies and procedures, as measured by observation and infection rate of assigned residents.
  • Consistently demonstrates knowledge of proper procedures for emergency preparedness (non-fire) according to facility safety manual when randomly questioned or drilled.
  • Consistently completes ADL sheets for assigned residents with prompting from CNA II and III, as evidenced by a review of assignment sheets. Consistently demonstrates proper facility procedures for providing or assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, eating, transferring, grooming and oral hygiene when observed by supervising nurses.
  • Provides and documents resident information on nutrition/fluid intake and vital signs, as evidenced by daily inspection of flow sheets and logs.
  • Demonstrates proper use of care giving equipment (hydraulic and electric lift, gait belt, B/P cuff, whirlpool tubs, etc.) as evidenced by a score of 100 percent when tested on use of the equipment during annual competency evaluations.
  • Receives a passing score of 90 percent or greater on the annual resident rights in-service training.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of resident rights through interactions with assigned residents as measured by supervisors receiving no valid complaints from residents and family members.
