Digital Communications Specialist

Summary:
ME&A is seeking an experienced mid-level Digital Communications Specialist in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area. Digital communication involves an organization's online communication efforts. Most organizations today use a wide range of digital communication channels-from their website to mobile chat to blogs to social media-to connect with current and prospective customers, employees, and other stakeholders. They need digital marketing professionals who have a keen understanding of how to leverage this convergence of technology and messaging to their advantage. Digital communications professionals are responsible for everything from creating online brand assets to building an engaged social media audience.
Responsibilities:
This position will work with corporate CEO, communications manager, and program managers to maintain internal and external digital corporate communications platforms, working to make sure they are secure, accurate, and have the best possible user experience.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate or Post Graduate Degree in communications, graphics, or digital media
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in digital communications, journalism, or public relations
  • Experience programming social media: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
  • Experience maintaining a website, preferably with WordPress
  • Digital graphics experience and knowledge
  • Experience with Webinars and/or Podcasts
  • Experience with preparation of PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience with digital Newsletters - production and distribution
  • Ability to work with senior executive level personnel including corporate CEO and Vice Presidents
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Interest and/or experience in international development and/or international commerce valuable but not required
  • Knowledge of one major foreign language (Spanish, French, Arabic, Portuguese, etc.) useful but not required
  • Experience with photography and/or videography is a plus
