Facilities Career Specialty
DIA relies on Facility officers to ensure a safe and healthful workplace for the workforce to accomplish its mission. Facility officers manage DIA occupied facility space and manage all major and minor construction projects. They provide high quality architectural, mechanical, electrical engineering and planning, facilities management, and project management for DIA’s worldwide locations. Additionally, they coordinate and integrate global contingency operational activities and manage emergency preparedness and incident response activities. Our officers work across DIA, the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, and the federal government to coordinate facility-related activities on behalf of DIA.

Building Manager (Occupational Series 1176)
Our Building Managers ensure DIA buildings and other facilities provide organizations with appropriate office space and essential building services. If you enjoy managing or assisting in the management and operation of buildings, overseeing building management programs, or assisting in the development of standard building management practices, and have an ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate effectively and accurately, orally and in writing, we want you!

Facility Operations Specialist* (Occupational Series 1640)
DIA Facility Operations Specialists lead or perform administrative work involving operating and maintaining buildings, grounds, and other facilities, such as posts, bases, shipyards, depots, and medical and health care facilities. If you have administrative knowledge and skills, and broad knowledge of the operating capabilities and maintenance requirements of various kinds of facilities and equipment and an ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate effectively and accurately, orally and in writing, please apply!
