Licensed or Licensed Eligible Outpatient Therapist

SUMMARY STATEMENT FOR THE OUTPATIENT THERAPIST POSITION:

Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor Outpatient Services, the Outpatient Therapist conducts comprehensive needs assessments, determines clinical diagnosis, eligibility and appropriateness for treatment, offers individual therapy, couples treatment, and group therapy, when appropriate. Develops individual treatment plans, maintains clinical documentation, and provides individual and family psychoeducation, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed.

Job Types: Full-Time, Part-Time

SCHEDULE/ LOCATION/ SALARY FOR THE OUTPATIENT THERAPIST POSITION:

  • Flexible hours - Monday-Friday, evenings and weekends available
  • Oakton, VA
  • You will meet clients in person or through Videoconference Telehealth
  • $70K - $90K Estimated starting salary based on qualifications and related experience
  • NO ON CALL

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed or Licensed-Eligible Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed or Licensed-Eligible Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nursing Specialist (PMHCNS) in the state of Virginia, plus 2 years of experience working with individuals living with mental illness.
  • Master's degree in one of the following fields: Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, Behavior Analysis, or Substance Abuse
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, theories, and methods of the psychological and social development of the individual
  • Knowledge of psychiatric, psychological, and/or sociological terminology and concepts
  • Competency in use of evidenced based psychotherapy treatment modalities
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to build rapport quickly with client and internal/external providers
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, and well organized
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR); familiarity with Credible a plus
  • High degree of empathy toward the clients we serve
