Editorial Intern
OVERVIEW:
Mission Matters Media is looking for a passionate editorial intern to help share the company’s story and contribute content for our clients. Candidate should have a passion for entrepreneurship and social media and will be a remote position.
This person will have the opportunity to create content, and grow their personal and professional network. The position will require a commitment of 20 hours per week and is currently unpaid and will require college credit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct interviews with the Mission Matters Media staff and use those stories to create engaging article content that reflects the brand identity
- Write blog posts, articles and press releases about the Mission Matters Media experience
- Come up with innovative ways to share client wins, work, and the personality of the Mission Matters Media team
- Work with the social media marketing intern to create monthly reports to show effectiveness of editorial content
QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to apply, candidates must:
- Be an excellent writer
- Have experience publishing Blog content, and experience working with platforms (i.e., WordPress)
- Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Word
- Display excellent communication skills
- Work independently and collectively with the team
- Have the ability to define and meet deadlines
- Share the belief that no task is too big or too small
- Provide own equipment
- [Preferred] Have photography experience
