Youth Minister/After School Director
Fort Lewis Baptist Church is looking for a Supervisor for KidsZone, our afterschool ministry for elementary students. Women and men are encouraged to apply.
The only job pre-requirements are:
- be a committed Christ-follower who is willing to use your gifts and ability to care for kids and help them and their families learn how to worship Jesus
- be responsive to the Holy Spirit's leading in understanding the spiritual needs of kids, their families, and other employees
- be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check
- be 21 years or older and have a valid driver's license (or be willing to get one)
Job Duties
Alongside the Director of our Weekday Kids Ministry, the Supervisor of KidsZone will:
- Schedule teachers and classroom assistants
- Teach one class of elementary age students (exact grade to be determined)
- Communicate with families about program expectations
- Purchase and maintain needed supplies
- Caring for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of kids
Although not a requirement for the position, the right candidate will also have the opportunity to serve as our youth minister.
Compensation
- This is a part-time position (for now).
- If you have children, they can attend our preschool or afterschool program at no cost.
