Product Development Internship - Summer
Position: Product Development Intern
Overview: Assist the product development and design team in organizational tasks, sample coordination, trend research, tech pack maintenance, and other duties as needed.
Learning Objectives:
- Learning a PLM system
o WFX PLM system
o Input new styles, materials, etc.
o Keep records up to date
o Track product development
- Creating and maintaining tech packs
o Use Adobe Illustrator to create tech packs from scratch
o Help maintain CAD libraries
- Sample coordination
o Receive and document incoming samples
o Measure and review all samples
o Send out samples utilizing FedEx account
- Seasonal Trend Research
o Complete a seasonal competitor analysis
o Participate in trend report company-wide meeting
- Fabrics Library
o Label and organize fabric cards
- Wear Testing
o Send out wear-test samples
o Organize feedback from wear-testers
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
- Knowledge of textiles
- Knowledge of garment construction
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
Salary and Benefits: This is an internship for students only. School credit is offered. Pay is set to $14.00 per hour. No other benefits available.
Hours: Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. Occasional work from home days
Position will report to the Product Developer.
