Subrogation Specialist - Internship

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

Observe the resolution of cases where money is due to the company as a result of its subrogation and contribution rights.

LOCATION

This position is based out of our beautiful West Creek Office location. 
West Creek (Goochland, VA – Richmond, VA)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

PRIMARY DUTIES
·        Review incoming files for subrogation potential and evaluate cases based on Claims
Representatives’ investigations.
·        Observe the negotiation of suit cases with statewide and local counsel.
·        Research and prepare cases for arbitration.
·        Review mail from attorneys to determine future action.
·        Observe and maintain communication with case managers, law enforcement officials,
commonwealth’s attorneys, and claimants when necessary to effect collection.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
·        All other duties assigned by the Subrogation Supervisor.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
·        High School diploma or equivalent
·        Working towards College degree

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS
·        Excellent organizational skills
·        Proven customer service skills
·        Excellent oral and written communication skills
·        Proven ability to handle multiple tasks
