The Position
The Program Specialist position is a part-time, grant-funded position expected to develop into full-time within a year. Starting hours are 20-32 per week. Hybrid work schedule is negotiable.
Job Brief
The Program Support Specialist is a newly created position designed to work with other Crater PDC staff to help manage and administer grant funds, primarily in housing and economic development programs. We are looking for someone who is flexible, a fast-learner and someone who can perform a variety of administrative responsibilities. Ultimately, the candidate will work with managers across the organization to help their teams implement activities and programs in a variety of ways.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Work within our team to help plan and attend various monthly community meetings regarding housing, community and economic development.
  • In coordination with grantees, process and administer reimbursement requests for and make site visits as needed.     
·        Prepare documentation for grant reporting and manage online resources.
·        Document, report, flyer, collateral materials design and development.
·        Attend staff and other internal meetings and type correspondence as needed.
·        Oversee and assist with program grant requirements and application processes.
·        Research and apply for grants for determined programs, as time allows.
·        Using social media marketing and website development tools to help market selected programs.
·        Manage and oversee some social media content for selected programs.
Required
·        Work experience in the field of housing, economic development, small business or a similar community-driven discipline.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency with relevant software and internet expertise.
 
Preferred
  • Grant and proposal writing and reporting experience.
  • Familiarity with web design, social media and publishing.
  • A business administration degree or any related equivalent.
