Data Quality Analyst Intern

SupplyHouse.com, an innovative e-commerce company, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst Intern to work with our Product, Systems, and Insights (PSI) Team virtually this summer! This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our data by performing quality checks, and identifying and resolving any issues. They will work closely with our Insights Team to develop and implement processes to improve data quality and maintain data integrity. They will also work with data to uncover key insights critical to defining our business strategies.

This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This position may require travel to our NY office headquarters up to two times during the program for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.

Location: Remote (Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington)
Length of Program: June – August
Salary: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST. However, there is some flexibility as per our Flex-Time Policy.

What is PSI (Product, Systems, & Insights)?
The Product, Systems, & Insights Team within our Marketing department is a group of Project Managers, Product Owners, and Insights Analysts who help the company plan and execute innovations to its website, app, and internal business processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Learn about our website and app analytics tagging and suggest improvements
  • Perform quality checks on data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Identify, document, and resolve any issues with data quality
  • Work with a cross-functional team to implement fixes for data issues
  • Collaborate with the Insights Team to develop and implement processes to improve data quality
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries and documentation
  • Help optimize growth initiatives to drive customer acquisition and retention
  • Build a testing and analysis-based culture
  • Run A/B tests, build custom reports and dashboards, and analyze data to make strategic marketing and UX decisions

Requirements:
  • Rising senior working toward a Bachelor's degree in a STEM or Business field
  • A focus in Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, or another data-heavy domain is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail as well as an ability to identify patterns and trends in data
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel
  • Passion for working on data quality and analysis projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional partners
