Environmental Engineer/Scientist
Avanti Corporation is growing! We are hiring motivated scientists and engineers to support our valued clients, including EPA, DOI, and NIEHS. Avanti has openings for senior and mid-level Project Managers, Environmental Scientists, and Environmental Engineers to work out of our Alexandria, VA office on exciting and complex projects. Specifically, Avanti is supporting EPA’s lead service line removal efforts, including support to complete inventories and providing community outreach. Avanti also has numerous NEPA projects to evaluate various federal offshore activities.
Candidates must have BA/BS in science or a related field, excellent communication skills, be detail oriented, and be able to work on multiple tasks. Candidates’ experience also must demonstrate the ability to perform and manage sound technical and engineering support for federal clients.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Minimum BA/BS in environmental science or engineering subject; MS preferred
- 3-5 years of experience
- Demonstrated project management, time management, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and on multiple projects
Additional desired skills and qualifications (not required):
- Experience with community outreach plans and implementation
- Science writing for lay audiences
- Proposal writing
