Therapeutic Day Treatment Clinician

Position Description: The Therapeutic Day Treatment Clinician is responsible for the direct implementation of behavioral interventions, therapeutic activities, psychoeducational treatment, and care coordination duties for children that are enrolled in the school-based and summer TDT Program. Children and adolescents who are enrolled in TDT have a mental, behavioral, or emotional illness that results in significant functional impairments in major life activities. These direct services are provided two or more hours per day individually or in groups of children and adolescents. These services are provided in the school setting and summer-based program setting when school is closed for summer break. The TDT Clinician’s main duties may include, but are not limited to: case management, case documentation, consultation, education, providing behavioral interventions, and engaging in psychotherapeutic activities.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services related field plus one year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting required. Must be registered with the Virginia Department of Health Professions as Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C) or Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee (QMHP Trainee). Must possess a valid VA driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record according to RACS policies.
